Could David Letterman or Jay Leno‘s future replacement be a chef?

That particular recipe for success got one step closer with the announcement that Emeril Lagasse is getting his own talk show on Ion Television.

If you can’t get enough of Emeril’s Bam and Kick It Up a Notch on Emeril Green or reruns of his shows on the Food Network, premiering March 28 at 8pm you can watch a hour-long talk show taped in front of an audience, complete with live music, celebrity guest and, (just guessing), a bit of cooking.

Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. will share production oversight of the new show with ION Television.
