Super Chef joined the citizens of the City of Orlando in congratulating Norman Van Aken on the Mayor Buddy Dyer‘s recent proclamation:
Whereas, For 8 years, patrons of Norman’s at the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes have been enjoying a superior level of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail, and
Whereas, these attributes have earned Norman’s the following prestigious designations; AAA 4 Diamond, Mobil 4 Star and Forbes 4 Star, and
Whereas, Norman’s was presented with the 2011 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for showcasing an extensive wine list with over 100 selections from around the world, and
Whereas, Legendary Chef Norman Van Aken is known internationally as “the founding father of New World Cuisine”, and
Whereas, Chef Norman is the only Floridian inducted into the prestigious “James Beard list of ‘Who’s Who” and was the winner of the prestigious James Beard Award, ‘Best Chef in the Southeast’ in 1997, and
Whereas, Chef Norman has been a longtime advocate of the “farm to table” movement, creating menus based on what is fresh, what is seasonal and what is local, and
Whereas, Norman’s at the Ritz-Carlton continues to set the standard for excellence in dining and is proud to be celebrating its 8th anniversary.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BUDDY DYER, Mayor of the City of Orlando, hereby do proclaim the Saturday, August 20, 2011 as
