Super chefs are almost all sports enthusiasts. The competition, the camaraderie, the team dynamics, and the physical demands of sports and cooking are very similar. Excel in one – and you’ll probably excel in the other – or at least enjoy it.
But what if you could combine sport and cooking and eating into one?
The idea is to play golf, eat, and drink all while raising funds for children’s disease research, hunger relief and literacy.
The participating chefs include: Cesare Casella from Salumeria Rosi, Rich Torrisi and Mario Carbone from Torrisi Italian Specialties, Michael White from Osteria Morini, Mark Ladner from Del Posto, and Andy Nusser from Tarry Lodge.
You can also hobnob with golf greats, eat, listen to live music and participate in a silent auction the night before (Sept. 25th) at the Rock n’ Wine presented by Vanity Fair with special guests, The Roots. Held at City Winery.
