It’s award season — not just for films, but also for the food world.
First up is the Culinary Institute of America with its “Augie” award at its Leadership Awards Gala on Wednesday, March 30 at the Marriott Marquis in New York.
Paul Bocuse will be honored as Chef of the Century, and Daniel Boulud will be honored as Chef of the Year. Jerome Bocuse, Paul’s son, and Michael Chiarello will take home Alumni of the Year award.
This is the 5th annual Leadership Awards. Past winners have included Eric Ripert and Ferran Adria for Chefs of the Year. Alumni include Car Cora and Grant Achatz among others.
The CIA is the home base for the US team competing for the Bocuse D’Or. Conveniently, Jerome and Daniel, along with Thomas Keller, are on the Board of Directors of the Bocuse D’Or Foundation.
In addition to this year’s gal event which will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square there is an Online Auction is being held. Check out the Online Auction for very unique culinary experiences at: http://ciaauction.doncept.com.
