Duff Goldman has signed a deal with Blue Bunny to create his own ice cream line with cake-inspired flavors like Chocolate Lovers Triple Chocolate Cake, Strawberries are Forever Shortcake, I Do I Do Wedding Cake, and Red Carpet Red Velvet cake. The ice cream will hit grocery stores in the Baltimore area this month, according to an article in The Baltimore Sun. It quotes Duff as saying:

He said jokingly that he felt like a 4-year-old kid playing in the walk-in freezers — and being enthralled by the bunny statue that greets visitors.

One of the main strengths of Duff’s brand is his appeal to children (and child-like adults). Ice cream, that quintessential summertime kid’s treat, fits right in to his other brand extensions, including DecoPac Kits and Girl Gourmet Cake Bakery.

Again, is a kids cooking show up Duff’s sleeve?
