It is easy to fall into disaster fatigue and not realize how easy it is to help others less fortunate than us – especially when chefs make it so easy.
Hurricane Odile that hit Los Cabos and the Baja Pennisula on September 14 and sent Richard Sandoval into action. It was, according to Wikipedia, “the most intense landfalling tropical cyclone on the Baja California peninsula during the satellite era.” “A Taste of Cabo” at his Zengo group of restaurants is his solution: a special menu inspired by dishes of created by leading chefs in Los Cabos. A generous 10% of the proceeds are being donated to the Los Cabos Children’s Foundation, which provides medical, educational and humanitarian support to children and their families. So, go indulge on the special menu until December 15th and know that you are helping victims of a terrible hurricane. Zengo has locations in Santa Monica, Denver, New York, and Washington DC.
