TEDx Manhattan: Changing the Way We Eat

Jamie Oliver‘s TED award speech started something.

Now, there is a whole TEDx conference scheduled for February 12th, 2011 in Manhattan devoted to food. Entitled, ” Changing the Way We Eat”, it focuses on sustainable food, with lectures by chefs, farmers, environmental activists and architects.

The “x” in TEDx means that it is an independently organized TED event. If you haven’t got a ticket already, no problem, just tune into the live streaming video at http://www.livestream.com/tedx or join a TEDx party by checking http://www.tedxmanhattan.org/viewing-parties.

This is not only for committed foodies, but also for people not yet convinced of the importance of the new food revolution. The sessions in the conference will be addressing three questions:

  1. What happened?
  2. Where are we?
  3. Where are we going?
