Think about food and eventually you will think about thinking about food – that is – explore how the brain pursues the pleasure of food.
There is nowhere better to start this exploration then by attending the Rubin Museum of Art‘s April 17th lecture by Johns Hopkins neuroscientist David J. Linden and master chocolatier Jacques Torres.
The program, called The Compass of Pleasure, is presented as part of the museum’s annual Brainwave series, which shed light on interesting aspects of the mind.
The Compass of Pleasure will conclude with a provocative consideration of pleasure in the future, when it may be possible to activate our pleasure circuits at will and in entirely novel patterns.
The lucky audience will be experiences Jacques’ chocolates as he discuss them.
