Gerry Hayden: In Support of ALS Research

Gerry Hayden, with Claudia Fleming

Even with the thousands and thousands of restaurants in the city, the restaurant business in New York is sometimes a very small world. Chefs stick together especially in times of need. You can see it when chefs get together for a cause near and dear to their hearts.

Be at Colicchio & Sons on Sunday, June 24th for an important dinner to honor Chef Gerry Hayden and support ALS research:

Welcome to , founded for our great friend Gerry Hayden. In January of 2011, Gerry was diagnosed with ALS – better known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. This is a progressive neurological disease with no known cure. Since this diagnosis, Gerry has taken to the fight as he does everything – with humor, love and compassion. Hayden’s Heroes is dedicated to raising money to assist Gerry and his wife Claudia [Fleming] with the overwhelming medical expenses that come with having ALS and to channel proceeds to finding a cure for this life ending disease.

Gerry’s colleagues and friends will be cooking a not-to-be-missed feast. They include: Dante Boccuzzi, David Burke, Marco Canora, Wylie Dufresne, Bobby Flay, Paul DelFavero, Mark Ladner, Michael Mina, Rick Moonen, Charlie Palmer, Alfred Portale, Brad Steelman, James Tracey, Bryan Voltaggio, Jonathan Waxman, and Sherry Yard.
